One spot for guaranteed good times no matter the occasion is Smokey’s–our signature spot for dining and events on the rim of the New River Gorge.
During the daytime, the first thing you’ll notice at Smokey’s is the view. The deck is perched high above the New River with an eagle’s eye view of the Gorge. When it’s time to get cozy and warm, head inside to a private room where we’ll bring your ideal celebration to life.
When you choose to host your event at Smokey’s, we’ll work with you to deck the halls in the style you choose and for any budget or theme. Your dedicated event specialist will be there to take the stress out of planning so you can focus on enjoying the good things, like a catered dinner featuring homemade dishes and cocktails. With the Adventures on the Gorge team at the helm to take care of all the details, your only job is to have fun. Take photos. Exchange gifts. Make memories. Oh, and do you hear that? The dance floor is calling your name!
Smokey’s namesake was Dana “Smokey” Morton, who shuttled buses of adventurers down the winding roads of the Gorge to and from the resort for years. Just like Smokey used to, we strive to make every experience a memorable one.
If your event is more of a weekend getaway, we’ll have lodging covered too. Wind down after the party in a Mountain Cabin, or treat yourself in a Deluxe Cabin with a bubbling hot tub. Cozy up around the fire. Roast marshmallows and look up to appreciate the star-filled winter sky. Come morning time, we think you’ll agree there’s no better place to ring in the season than at Adventures on the Gorge.
