If you are all about the whitewater, back-to-back trips down the New River Gorge may be the perfect fit for you. On this trip you will raft the exciting and challenging Lower New River twice in 1 day.
The trip starts near the Adventures on the Gorge Resort and runs eight miles through 17 rapids.

The New River defines the classic West Virginian whitewater rafting with placid pools and exciting drops. It is divided into sections that challenge both the beginner and advanced rafters.
The Lower New River offers one of the best whitewater rafting experience you can have in West Virginia . It is a large volume river with large shelf drops and boulders, creating the perfect combination on waves and hydraulics for a world class whitewater rafting.

On Class III – IV and harder trips, a guide sits in every raft and provides instruction at each major rapid and throughout the trip.
Our standard rafts are 16 feet long, comfortably seating 8 guests and a guide.
This is a full day trip consisting of two back-to-back New Rapid River Runs with 2-3 hours on the water per run, and a 30 minute shuttle each way.
We provide transportation from our resort to the river and back again, all rafting equipment (helmet, life jacket, paddle and boat). Lunch will be served at basecamp between each run.
Bring any medication you need throughout the day, plus sunscreen, sunglasses and a change of clothes to keep at the resort upon your return. Guides carry small waterproof bags to stow necessary medications. Depending on the time of year and the weather, you may also want a synthetic layer. The minimum age for this trip is 12 years old. Our PFDs (personal floatation devices) have a maximum chest capacity of 58 inches.
