Float Fishing 3-Day Overnight

West Virginia offers unparalleled fishing, with our excellent habitat, deep pools, and swift currents. The boulder-rich waterways deep in the New River Gorge offer plenty of shade that attracts the fish. It’s not uncommon for our guests to reel in up to 60 fish on a single day on the New River.

This float fishing trip gives you three full days of great West Virginia Smallmouth Bass fishing, riverside camping, and delicious meals.  Both spin flying and fly fishing options are available.  Please let us know your preference when you book.

We have a designated gear boat and boater that sets up camp long before you arrive.  When you hit the beach, your tent with sleeping cots will be set up and your dry gear will be waiting for you.  Once you settle in a steak dinner with all the trimmings will be prepared to perfection.

The next 2 mornings, we prepare a large breakfast.  After breakfast, you are on your way to another spectacular day of fishing.

Looking for a shorter trip? Try our Float Fishing Half-Day Trip, Float Fishing Full Day Trip or the Float Fishing Smallmouth Bass 2-day Overnight Trip.

Check our Overnight Checklist for items to bring.

Minimum Age: 8
Our fishing guides know this river better than anybody. They’ll help you with bait or fly selection and where to cast, plus instruction, if necessary.
Our 16-foot oar-rigged boats hold 2 guests and a guide.

Most of the three days are spent on the water.

We provide everything you need to have a great day of fishing.  This includes tackle, rods, reels and plastic bait, plus flies and fly rods if specified. Lunch, dinner, breakfast, snacks, and drinks are provided.

You are responsible for obtaining and bringing your WV fishing license, and we ask that you please show that to your guide when you meet up. Bring sunscreen and weather-appropriate clothing, including rain gear, warm layers, sunglasses and a hat. If your personal gear is preferred, bring your rod, hard bait, crank baits, plugs or minnows.

All fishing trips are catch and release with artificial baits only.

Our guides will discuss specific safety requirements on site.  Fishing trips include some rapids which will be navigated by our experienced guides.
