Welcome, Cosmic Country Concert-Goers! Adventures on the Gorge is stoked to guide you on our beloved West Virginia rivers!
On Saturday, September 9th, in the morning before An Evening with Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country (presented by Groove in the Gorge @ The Outpost New River Gorge), you can hop on a guided whitewater rafting trip with other Cosmic fans on either the Gauley River or the New River!
The Upper Gauley River, hailed as one of the best whitewater runs in the world and a milestone for many, is the pinnacle of whitewater experiences. We recommend it for experienced rafters only, and for good reason. This class V section of the river requires all the paddling power you can muster and may be the most extreme trip most rafters will ever attempt. This is serious whitewater, and it’s an adventure you won’t forget! The Upper Gauley Express trip kicks off about 6:30am and will be back by 1:00pm (plenty of time for an afternoon nap and/or pregame). Lunch included. See details below about shuttles to/from The Outpost to AOTG.
The Lower New River, in the heart of the New River Gorge National Park, is a favorite for first-time rafters and whitewater enthusiasts alike. This class II-IV section of whitewater has large shelf drops and boulders-a perfect combination of waves and hydraulics that make for world-class rafting. The Lower New River Rapid Run trip kicks off about 8:00am and will be back by noon, lunch is not included. See details below about shuttles to/from The Outpost to AOTG.
Entering your information below is going to send a form to our Adventure Specialists to reserve your spot(s) on a trip. Once your form is submitted, an Adventure Specialist will create your reservation then send you email confirmation. This email confirmation will have a “Make a Payment” link to follow for online payment. A 50% deposit will be required within 48 hours of the email confirmation. Final balance will be due 30 days prior to arrival.
Rates listed are per person, before taxes/fees. Please note, this is an information-collection tool and is not a confirmed reservation until an Adventure Specialist follows up.
AOTG will provide a morning shuttle for rafters staying at the Outpost with enough time to check-in for rafting at AOTG. Return shuttle after rafting will be provided. Details on time and location will follow once reservations are finalized. **Concert overflow parking is also at AOTG, shuttles will be provided throughout the evening.**
Rafting trips are available on days other than September 9. Feel free to contact AOTG or book online if you are interested in rafting on a different date.
