Lodging near the New River Gorge
Adventures on the Gorge has a variety of lodging options to suit your budget and preferences when preparing for your stay in the New River Gorge National Park. Deluxe cabins, vacation homes, hotel-style cabins, loft-style cabins, or rustic country cabins are offered on our campus. All our cabins and campsites are nestled in the woods so you can experience the serenity of nature right outside your door (or tent!). All cabins and campsites also include the use of a campfire ring, grill, and picnic table.
Our deluxe cabins are one of our most popular lodging options and include everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay. These cabins have a spacious dining area, refrigerator, oven, stove, coffee pot, and microwave. Choose from our Cabins on the Gorge or our Outback Cabins, both of which have access to a private hot tub so you can relax and unwind after a long day of adventure! Our deluxe cabins are nestled in a wooded area, where you can take in the tranquility of the New River Gorge and all it has to offer.
Another popular option is our Sunnyside or Kaymoor cabins, with hotel-style rooms that provide all the comforts of a hotel room with the convenience of a cabin close to our resort amenities. These cabins include a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and spacious bathroom so you’ll have everything you need for a comfortable stay.
When all you need are basic yet comfortable accommodations in between adventures, our Sportsman Cabins are a great choice. These loft-style cabins have all the basics you’ll need: a mini-fridge, microwave, bathroom and beds/futons. The loft-style layout means all beds are in a shared, open space so you’ll have a great bonding experience with your family and friends during your stay in the New River Gorge National Park.
Sometimes, all you need is a bed to sleep on and a roof over your head. If this sounds like you, our Rustic Country Cabins are what you’re looking for. These are budget-friendly, climate-controlled cabins that will protect you from the elements and give you a comfortable place to sleep after a day full of adventures. Linens and pillows are not included in our rustic cabins, but you will have a covered porch, a fire ring for easy barbeques, a picnic table and access to a shared bathroom facility nearby.
Planning a trip for a large group, a wedding, or a family reunion? Adventures on the Gorge also has several spacious vacation home rentals available, both on and off our campus. These luxurious homes provide the space and amenities needed for larger groups to have a comfortable and memorable experience in the New River Gorge National Park.
Camping & RV Sites near the New River Gorge
Year after year, outdoor enthusiasts travel to the New River Gorge to connect with nature and to enjoy the tranquility of our national park. What better way to immerse yourself in the beauty of West Virginia’s lush forests than to sleep under the stars, surrounded by the natural beauty of West Virginia’s mountain landscapes! At Adventures on the Gorge, we have several camping options, from covered tent platforms to RV sites. Our RV campsites can accommodate recreational vehicles up to 60 feet in length. There is no direct water hookup, but we do have multiple potable water stations and a dump station. In addition to our covered tent platforms, we have 5 camping areas. Mill Creek Area A is the closest to our resort and can accommodate up to 12 guests and 4 cars per campsite. Area B can fit up to 4 guests on a 10’ x 10’ lot and is popular for couples due to its privacy, location and beautiful surroundings. Mill Creek Area C can fit a maximum of 8 guests and 4 vehicles per campsite. Larger groups will find the best camping option in Mill Creek Area D, which can accommodate 16 guests per campsite and up to 6 vehicles. Mill Creek Area K can accommodate up to 6 guests and up to 4 cars per campsite. All RV sites and campsites include access to a fire ring, a grill, and picnic table at your campsite, plus shared bathroom facilities, showers, and coin-operated laundry machines.
New River Gorge Glamping
Our Glamping Tents were designed for those who love nature but desire the comforts of a bed and a climate control space. Perfect for couples or small groups, these 16’ x 22’ Glamping Tents provide privacy and a touch of luxury to your camping experience. Our Glamping Tents include a private bathroom with a walk-in shower. You’ll enjoy a secluded fire pit and picnic table, your own mini fridge, hot plate, and coffee pot, and a beautiful setting in the lush mountain landscapes of the New River Gorge.
Resort Amenities
Why should you stay at Adventures on the Gorge? In addition to having lodging options for everyone, you will also have access to the many amenities offered on our campus. The Canyon Falls Pool is available for all guests staying with us or adventuring with us. This 3,000 square foot pool features unique rock formations, cascading waterfalls, and a zero-entry area with a slide and splash zone for the kiddos. Our 10,000 square foot pool deck is perfect for lounging with a frozen drink in hand while taking in breathtaking views of the gorge. Forgot your sunscreen or water shoes? We have two stores on our campus, The Canyon Rim Shop or the Mill Creek General Store, so you are only a short walk away from grabbing whatever supplies you may have missed while packing. Our campus has 6 different restaurants whether you want to grab a drink, a quick snack, or enjoy a sit-down dinner with stunning views of the gorge. Adventures on the Gorge also has a disc golf course, cornhole, a sand volleyball court, and beautiful overlooks of the gorge and the bridge that cannot be found anywhere else in the New River Gorge.
Pet Friendly Options
Traveling with a pet? Adventures on the Gorge has several pet friendly lodging options to accommodate you and your furry friend! Pet-friendly cabins are available upon request with a pet fee. To ensure that your cabin is pet friendly, we recommend calling our reservation specialists to book your lodging at 855-379-8738. If you have multiple pets, be sure to inform your reservation specialist when booking. Our Glamping Tents are not pet friendly, but leashed four-legged friends are welcome at our campsites or RV sites!
