Explore the natural beauty of West Virginia on a scenic paddling trip! With your guide leading the way, you’ll maneuver a sit-on-top kayak through the calm waters of Hawk’s Nest Lake or Summersville Lake. Your guide will give you tips on how to steer and paddle efficiently, and you’ll build up your kayaking confidence while experiencing the tranquility of being on the water. This adventure is the perfect choice for those who want to get a little upper-body exercise in a picturesque setting.
You’ll be provided a kayak, life jacket, paddle, transportation, and a guide to accompany your group.
Dress for the weather. You should wear a swimsuit and shorts at the very minimum, plus more layers if the weather is cooler. You’ll definitely get a little wet, so keep that in mind. We suggest avoiding cotton–synthetic materials work best. Wear a raincoat if the forecast calls for it. You may also want to bring sunscreen and sunglasses. Consider renting a wetsuit and splash jacket in the spring or fall.
This trip is about three hours long.
