Welcome! Adventures on the Gorge is stoked to guide you on our beloved New River!
Pigeons Playing Ping Pong play at 7:30pm at The Outpost on Thursday, September 5th, 2024 (Concert Info & Tickets Here). Earlier that day you can hop on a guided whitewater rafting trip with AOTG on the Lower New River with other concert-goers!
The Lower New River, in the heart of the New River Gorge National Park, is a favorite for first-time rafters and whitewater enthusiasts alike. This class II-IV section of whitewater has large shelf drops and boulders- a perfect combination of waves and hydraulics that make for world-class rafting.
The Lower New River Rapid Run trip kicks off about 1:00pm and should be back around 3:30pm (4:30pm at the latest!). Lunch is not included. Rapid Runs are available at both 8:00am and 1:00pm every day.
Entering your information below is going to send a form to our Adventure Specialists to reserve your spot(s) on a trip. Please identify in the notes what day you are wanting to raft and how many people. You have the option to add or remove the 6% Trip Cancellation Protection; read about it here and select yes/no in the form. Once your form is submitted, an Adventure Specialist will create your reservation then send you email confirmation. This email confirmation will have a “Make a Payment” link to follow for online payment. A 50% deposit will be required within 48 hours of the email confirmation. Final balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.
Free concert parking is available at AOTG (unless you purchase an “Onsite Parking Pass” or are camping at The Outpost). Shuttles will be provided back-and-forth throughout the evening, starting at 5:00pm.
AOTG has other activities available that are not advertised here. Feel free to explore these other options and either enter them in the form below or book directly online. Please use this form for rafting to ensure the advertised rate.
Rates listed are per person, before taxes/fees. Please note, this is an information-collection tool and is not a confirmed reservation until an Adventure Specialist follows up.
