Water levels vary every single day, which means that rafting conditions can vary every day. If you’re someone who wants to experience the very best of the rivers that we offer, The Best Run of the Day is for you. What does this mean? On the morning of your trip, our river managers will check the levels AND your skill level, and we’ll pick the best possible section/raft combination for you. That could mean that you’ll raft the Lower New River in a high intensity (smaller) raft, or it could mean that you’ll go to the Gauley River in inflatable kayaks. Or it could mean that you’ll raft on the Meadow River or the Cherry River. This is the trip for you if you’re ok with a little bit of uncertainty-you won’t know what river/section you’ll be rafting until the morning of your trip!

One of the beautiful things about Mother Nature is that her conditions can’t be planned. When it comes to rafting, this means water levels can affect the intensity and length of your trip–and that’s where the Best Run of the Day comes in. Choose this trip if you’re not set on one particular river section and simply want the best adventure possible! We check water levels each day, and we’ll make sure to put you on a river section that will give you the best chance at rafting the rapids you’ve been dreaming of.

This trip is available Sunday-Friday all season long except for The Dries release dates.
